Excavator Operator

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Excavator Operator focused in Pipe Crew with successful and progressive experience in performing safe and technically proficient operation of equipment assigned.

Position Summary

The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 5 years running an excavator for a pipe crew with projects involved in water, drainage, and sewer pipe installation, digging underground utilities and must have experience with shoring systems such as trench boxes.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators safely and efficiently for pipe installation projects, including water, drainage, and sewer systems.
Excavate trenches and prepare sites while ensuring proper depth, grade, and alignment.
Work around underground utilities with precision to prevent damage.
Install and utilize shoring systems such as trench boxes to ensure job site safety.
Collaborate with pipe crew members to complete installations per project specifications.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license
Must have 5 years of excavator experience with a pipe crew
Experience in shoring systems like trench boxes required
Must have experience with water, storm and sewer pipe in various sizes
Experience with digging around underground utilities required
