Company Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced an Office Specialist, responsible for inbound/outbound customer calls and giving excellent customer service, as well as coordinating various staff support/clerical operations for the Volusia County.
Position Summary: The ideal candidate must have at least two years of performing with great customer service, and time management skills.
Work hours: Monday ~ Friday, 8 am – 5 pm with 1 hour break.
Responsibilities
Answers high-volume inbound customer calls, which typically inquire about payments, bills, and answering a variety of questions.
Makes outbound calls.
Reads and routes incoming mail.
Locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered.
Partake on special projects and office tasks during low call volume.
Relieves Manager of minor administrative details.
May serve as an office manager ensuring the efficient operation of the office.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of a GED
Two (2) years of progressively responsible secretarial/administrative assistant work at a fast-paced office environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Basic knowledge of Federal, State or local social service grant programs is also preferred.
