School Custodian

Position Summary
We are seeking dedicated and reliable custodial staff to assist in preparing the new Orange Technical College East Campus for the upcoming school opening. This role will involve physical tasks such as moving furniture, setting up classrooms, and performing deep cleaning to ensure the campus is clean, organized, and ready for students and staff.

7:30am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with moving furniture, boxes, and equipment into designated rooms across the campus
- Perform deep cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and surfaces
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies
- Remove trash and recyclables from designated areas
- Help with setting up classrooms, furniture arrangement, and general campus organization
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Support other custodial staff and teams as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings if necessary
