Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shell Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies. The Construction Estimator will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to develop comprehensive estimates that reflect the scope of work
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. Must be able to read and analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices for materials and services.
- Monitor ongoing projects for cost control and provide updates on budget variances. Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to bids.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of estimating experience in shell construction: concrete, masonry, and framing.
- Proven experience in high-end residential and commercial projects
- Proficiency in PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and Excel Schedule
